Discover the Brewerytown neighborhood by way of food, drink, shopping, music and neighborhood festivities when the Brewerytown Spring Festival returns to the neighborhood on Saturday, May 30 from noon to 5 p.m.

The neighborhood, which is just northwest of Fairmount, is an up-and-coming community and restaurants — like The Monkey and The Elephant and coming-soon Crime and Punishment Brewery shops and local businesses are popping up with greater frequency in this evolving area.

The festival will run from 27th to 29th streets on Girard Avenue where festival-goers will find handmade art and crafts by local makers like 611, a local men’s clothing company, Unique Upcycled Goods, a local company that makes toys, home goods and more from recycled materials and more.

Live music from performers like Red Cedar Strings and Dena and the Mellowtones will round out the fun.

In addition to performing musicians, folks can also join in a drum circle — bring your own conga, bongo or other percussion instrument to join the circle.

In the case of rain, the festival will take place on Sunday, May 31.
