Celebrate Memorial Day Weekend at the perfectly patriotic National Constitution Center right on Independence Mall.

All weekend long, the center will host free events to pay tribute to members of the military who have given their lives in defense of the Constitution and on Monday, May 25, the National Constitution Center will offer free admission so anyone can explore the Constitution’s legacy.

Every day of the weekend, museumgoers can take in the center’s fantastic permanent displays and temporary exhibitions including Creating Camelot The Kennedy Photography of Jacques Lowe and Constituting Liberty: From the Declaration to the Bill of Rights.

Additionally, the National Constitution Center will present a variety of special programming in celebration of Memorial Day.

A good way to start the weekend off is by honoring the stars and stripes. Raising an American flag is traditional for Memorial Day, of course, and for those who have wondered how to do it properly, the center hosts special flag-raising ceremony each morning, May 23-25. Guests are encouraged to join in.

Throughout the weekend visitors can also participate in flag ceremonies when the museum opens and closes each day, themed crafts, a thank-a-vet letter station, giant flag folding lessons and much more.

On Monday, May 25, the regular admission fees to the center — usually $14.50 for adult general admission — are waived thanks to the John Templeton Foundation.

To take advantage of the free admission, reserve free museum tickets now right here.
