Truly, Philadelphia's hotel scene just keeps on getting better.
This fall, Philadelphia’s Benjamin Franklin Parkway will welcome a new flag for its longtime anchor hotel when the Logan, Philadelphia’s Hotel makes its anticipated debut.
The just-announced concept, a part of Curio A Collection by Hilton, succeeds the Four Seasons Philadelphia hotel on the Parkway, which held court on Logan Square for more than 30 years and recently shuttered to prepare for a transition to new sky-high digs when the Comcast Innovation & Technology Center opens in 2018.
But for all those who shed a tear when the Four Seasons Philadelphia closed its doors, be prepared to dry those eyes.
Sage Hospitality, a Denver-based hotel development and management company, has revealed its plans for an independent-style luxury hotel in the Logan, Philadelphia's Hotel — and the blueprints look beautiful.
the Logan, Philadelphia’s Hotel
After a complete renovation, which has already begun, the 390-room hotel property should look and feel brand new.
Named for Colonial statesman James Logan and its location on Logan Square, the Logan hotel will certainly nod to Philadelphia’s rich history, but it’s vibe will aim squarely towards modern luxury and plans call for the rehab to totally transform the space with new color palettes, updated rooms and meeting space, a new spa and fitness center and a new restaurant.
Though the Logan falls beneath the larger Hilton Hotels umbrella — so guests will be able to take advantage of Hilton's reward programs — the Curio collection designation means that this property will be unique to Philadelphia with a contemporary look and a independent hotel-style of service.
A relatively new brand for Hilton, the Logan will be just the 11th Curio-branded property in the United States, with 13 Curio hotels worldwide, each with an individual character.

Urban Farmer Steakhouse and Rooftop Lounge
In addition to a fresh look for the hotel, the dining at the Logan will be all-new, too.
The Urban Farmer steakhouse, which also has locations in Portland and Cleveland, will open this fall and serve breakfast, lunch and dinner daily. Like its other two outposts, the restaurant will tap local sources — in this case, the Philadelphia region — for menu inspiration and ingredients.
Perhaps the most exciting change on the property, though, is the rooftop lounge, which will open in the spring of 2016.
For the first time, the hotel will welcome guests to its roof to take in the amazing views of the Benjamin Franklin Parkway and the city’s skyline.
As with all large development projects, the timetable and other details of the project is subject to change.
