Good news, pizza fans: The Rittenhouse location of Pizzeria Vetri will start serving stellar pies tomorrow, June 2 at 11 a.m.
The hotly anticipated second location of the popular pizza restaurant will be located at 1615 Chancellor Street — it’s just down the street from Little Pete’s at 17th and Chancellor streets. The new space is slightly larger than the original location and offers an open indoor dining area, space for outdoor dining, bar seating and a custom Pizza al Taglio oven.
Diners can expect food offerings similar to the fare at its Spring Garden sister restaurant — think traditional circular Neapolitan pies and Roman pizza al taglio, or pizza by the slice plus salads and small plates.
On the drink side of things, guests can pair their pizza with libations from a full bar that will closely resemble the bar menu at the Spring Garden location. Beer options will be plentiful as a nod to the classic pizza and beer pairing.
The new restaurant will serve both lunch and dinner seven days a week. The latest outpost from Chef Marc Vetri will join his other popular restaurants like Lo Spiedo, Amis, Alla Spina, Osteria and Vetri.
