Drink For A Cause At Dozens Of Philadelphia Bars During Negroni Week, June 1-7

In Philadelphia, Negroni cocktails like the one made with locally distilled Bluecoat gin, shown will raise funds for a variety of causes at such bars as The Olde Bar and 1 Tippling Place.

Beer doesn't have the lock on beverage-related, citywide revelry in Philadelphia.

This week also just happens to be Negroni Week. A joint fundraising collaboration between Campari and Imbibe Magazine, Negroni Week brings the delicious and heady mixture of gin, Campari and vermouth to the forefront, with a challenge to local bars.

At participating establishments, $1 for every Negroni or Negroni-inspired cocktail (because those, too, are worth celebrating) purchased will be donated to a charity of their choosing.

This is the second year running for this attractive initiative, and last year over 1300 venues signed up worldwide, raising $120,000. Naturally, the bar has been set higher for this year's challenge.

And really, it's no challenge at all with spots such as Franklin Mortgage & Investment Company, Oyster House, Ranstead Room, The Olde Bar, and 1 Tippling Place all in the mix.

For a full list of local participants, just check online. You can also win prizes if you use the Social Ladder App which helps unlock exclusive prizes along the way.

As if a Negroni and the satisfaction of contributing to good causes isn't reward enough.
